Extra countdown timer for initial moves would be nice!

There should be a warning before awarding the game (ideally including as you suggest, a count-down timer which I've seen in use on other sites).

I can totally understand.  That is an annoying defense to play against, I would have had to think about it too!  What was your plan btw?

That game is an excellent example of why you dont move the same piece twice in the opening.  Why not just play 4.Nf3, or even 4.c3 instead of 4.Be3?

I would say it was an element of surprise.  The reverse Grob.  I actually like openings like this.
