FEATURE REQUEST: Time per move in game PGN

I'm one of those people that  prefer playing slow games instead of those bullet one. Something like 30-0, 45-5 or 45-45. The slower the better. And once that game its finisced i usually download that PGN and analyze the game i played. During my analysis i would like to know how much it took me to make a certain move, in order to seen if i played too fast or too slow. So i would like to have this added feature.

Ist possible to have the PGN with commented  the time used , or the time left (the same that clock its showing)?

1.d4 {time left: 44.30} Nf6 {time left: 45.30} 2.c4 ...

This little change will give a lot more infos during a post mortem analysis.

I know its possible, but probably need a little work. for instance, when a player make a move in a live game, need to saved no only the move just done, but also what the clock was displaiing at that time. Once that database have saved this sort of information, would be quite easy to build a PGN with that info.

The main question is that fature its worth the "programming hassle" of not? Probably depend on how many of us would like that feature, so the more people sign for this request, the most likelly they will decide to implement it. Smile

Yes, of course i can.

I can also sign all the moves in a paper by myself so i dont i need that PGN, but this make that downloadable PGN worthles? Of course not.

Its something people wanted to have , so the staff made it available. Now i'm asking a time log on the moves done. I can again do that by myself with  pen&paper,  but its not a sign that could be something nice to offer?

Probably i'm going to do that at least in those slowest games, but i already play slow games on a real wooden board ( I make my move and then do the same on the brower. When the oppoent move i do the same on the real board and think looking ad the board , not at the laptop) .

Its a bit time consuming , but the added "real board" make my think and see better. Now,  if i add also a manual annotation of moves and times, its even more time consuming. Probably it can be done on slower games (> 60 min games), but doesn't mean that having that embedded its not warmly welcome. Wink

I'm realy the only one that would like that  feature?

I would love a feature like that. BTW I don't take notes in online chess because it is illegal in tournament play. It would be better to have the timestamp in the pgn. My two cents. ghillan thanks for bringing it up.

hm.. thats something i didn't knew.

In tournamets its usually mandatory to write down the moves, so what could harm to sign also just the remaining time? Its not like writing down a variation for the next moves..

Still, even if possible to do manually, it deasn't mean that would not be nice ho have it as embedded feature.

It's not that I would love to have this simple feature.  It's that I can't believe it isn't already there.  It's a basic requirement that should have been implemented years ago.
