I verified it does it for me as well. Have submitted a formal bug report. You can do that through the Help > Report a Bug option if you see something in the future. They may or may not see the report here.

Game explorer has a weird bug where the moves don't overwrite. For instance, after you move d4 on the first move, then you go back and move e4, and then you go back again, make another move, all the moves will be shown as White and Black moves.
