Here chess.com game explorer gives the Evans' gambit link

here it doesn't

shouldn't the links depend just on the position?

SCID has this problem too: he doesn't merge transpositions, it keeps the openings branches separate. Are there softwares available that have this ability instead?

Its based on the position. If it doesn't work, reset your internet browser and try again.
