True, but when you mouse over the country flag it says Holland, even if you've picked The Netherlands.

Probably most Dutch people that think Holland is a country also think that America is a country (and some of them never even heard about the United States, no joke!).

In Spanish, "The Netherlands" is "Los Países Bajos", and the language "neerlandés", but  this is very formal.

It seems Wilbert has quite the task ahead of him...to convince the world that all "hollanders" come from the netherlands, but not the other way around. And he should be carefull, wars have been started for less.

Netherlands is an option.  All you have to do is go into your profile settings and change the country.

It's true -- it's nothing but cheese and tulips outside of Amsterdam.

The idea I got from the fact that the mistake seems similar (province vs country, country vs continent), and I know for sure there are people who confuse both. But only "probably" as I have no proof (nor the desire to seek for it).
