Membership seems too committal. Freemium is so much more flexible. I'd be happy to contribute to CC that way and pay for in-apps instead of buying lame membership.
I'd be happy to buy credits or tokens to spend as I please. That way i buy only what I want.

I guess a lot of folks are using CC on ipads (me included), iphones, and android devices.
Why not offer computerized analysis of games as in-app purchases? In fact, a whole lot of other stuff can be offered as in-app purchases (like getting to watch a collection of videos on the queen's gambit when CC knows that's where you are getting your butt kicked) ... it's a lot more "value" than paying for membership.
Do remember the creator of flappy bird made millions through app stores! App store is a simple and great monetization platform.
Don't forget to give me my million moneys for this idea :D
