Imagine instead bishop rook, for example. what does it change? I essentially ill-posed problem of talking, and you to find fault with trifles.
incorrect exercise tactics!!!

If you're not accurate with that, how do I know there wasn't a pawn on h7? It's not irrelevant to be accurate.

Chess is a complex game, little changes in the position often mean large changes in what is going on.
As already pointed out twice, imagine in your position that there is a pawn on h7. Then Bf3 is WRONG since it is met by Qg6. Bf5 is the only correct answer.
If you have already made small errors in setting up this position that we have identified, then it is very possible that you have made other errors such as omitting an h7 pawn, which might explain why your solution wasn't correct. Most people that complain about tactics trainer didn't check their solution thoroughly enough to see why they were wrong.

Scottrf if you think that the exercises are ideal here, and people are guilty, they can not solve such problems - go and solve them at least 24 hours a day, no one will hold. and if they do not like you, do not disturb others to express their opinions.

Regina im not saying they are perfect, they aren't. Post a link to an incorrect one and it will be removed.

may be you are incorrect Scott? you will be removed from Earth.
rofl, this escalated somewhat ...

Your money should be returned for the asking.
I also, choose not to pay. Tactics Trainer is my main area of interest, and I find it flawed. (They give me 5 points for quick correct answers. I lose 15 for "wrong" answers that would be correct OTB.) And as stated, I prefer chesstempo.
However, Scott is not being abusive or accusing you of anything other than posting a suspect problem. I have seen TT make illegal moves within their A&S section, but have never seen an illegal starting position.
I believe we are all trying to be helpful.

The rating increase/decrease experienced is not fixed, it's based on the rating of the puzzle, which is in turn determined by the ratings of the users that solve it/don't.
Whilst there are often multiple paths to an advantage, there's normally only one path which is clearly the best (believe it's measured by +2.5 better on computer eval or some figure). I understand what you're saying, but I like the fact that it forces you to find the best solution.

I'm not going to redo all the interesting only because accidentally put vmestto rook bishop to the starting position (that is, in principle, does not change anything on the merits). I do not return the money and do not respond to emails for 3 days. probably looking for an excuse to close.

what's this site, where even the closing of the reasons people may not know? I do not believe that I will return the money. If 3 days vrenuli not, then have not returned. write a complaint to the paypall
that the paid services of this website is incorrect and not in conformity truth

Putting aside the clear for what (if only to write something) like Scott, all the answers are: yes, we have also noticed that training tactics on the site done very badly and we train on other sites

Regina, do you take guest requests/invites to other threads? Your brand of awesomeness is in high demand.

What about the idea that there is no correct answer at all times? Correctness of any answer seems to be from the mind of the viewer, unless it is checkmate if the move you make is incorrect on the next move from opponent. Sometimes examining very different viewpoints and not necessarily the move you selected will allow new thought patterns. Getting things "correct" is pointless because "correctness" is only an opinion not an overt fact at all times and in all places. That answer is correct! Depends on position and goal at that time on the board. If your goal is correct problems only do checkmate problems where you must checkmate in so many moves.
It's illegal because there can't be a bishop on b8 if the a and c pawns haven't moved. I think escapest is correct - that one move allowed the queen to block.
