Hey vowles. This is good news. In general would you look forward playing showing move list or only last move? I guess for me, and for starters, move list would be more appropriate, and not even sure I could keep up with more than 10 moves anyways. Practice will help, that is for sure.

Hey MSC. It is same as playing Live, you can not control if someone has an engine running, can you? We can not tell but only trust the word of the other player that no visual elements are in use while playing blindfold. Cheers.

Yes, you're right. But I still think it's easier to have a chessboard than running an engine.

I think I'll play just with the last move, but I'll see how I go! It's been a long time since I've done any blindfold, but I think I've impoved since then anything, so it should be interesting. I was hoping that there would be a seperate rating section for blindfold games, like bullet/blitz/standard, but I guess that won't happen? Anyway, should be awesome!
There is my last one. With my friend, we just told each other a move, and that was it. I think the hardest part was to remember all the moves and write them down after the game. 
I played WHITE.
Looks like no blindfold yet.

no i don't know at which minute it will be released. two issues were found which are delaying release by a couple days, but it'll be out any time now.
msc, yes we can include the invisible pieces in online chess as well as live chess.
it's up and working. i tested it live an hour ago and it worked. Timur will be playing his first simul at 2 pm pacific as well.

LikeTheLake, Settings (on the top of Live Chess) > Style > Pieces Style > Blindfold.
King the Lake:
1. Go to Live Chess
2. click in the top menu bar on "Settings"
3. Select in the "Pieces Style" dropbox the option "blindfold"
4. Click "save settings"
If you now start a game you will see no pieces (but your opponent does see them)

yes, vowles is correct. this is coming live for everyone! it's blindfold on the "honors" system-- you can choose to use the invisible pieces and your opponents can choose to use them. you can also choose to look at the move list, or to only look at the last move (or the highlighted squares, which should still work to show the last move). let us know how this works for you once it's out!
