They should have "official" tournaments for a seperate "official" rating, and then ordinary tournaments for regular rating

No, there should be live rating for live torunaments and online ratings for online tournaments - unless we call them correspondence tournaments when we should adopt correspondence ratings.
I'd agree, that live tournament could be expanded upon and enhanced but I think this is a fairly new feature and kudos to chess.com for what they have achieved so far.

Hi, the help mods at live told me to come here. I don't feel like live tourmaments are special enough, because they happen every hour of every day. I feel like this could be helped by allowing a system similar to online tournaments with live. And there could be a tournament UI and you could have a tournament rating even. I feel this would make live tournaments more special, and they could be sequential and player made, rather than automated. I feel this is a good idea, what do others feel?
