meebo

Hi guys,

Have just come back from hols and suddenly my screen is cluttered so I can no longer see the full board and the analysis screen won't pop-up and after an hour or so of my life that I'll never get back I work out how to turn it off so that things are back the same (except analysis screen pop-up). I think it's intrusive and wrong of you to make such changes. I really hate it when after going through the process of setting up your page views some genius decides they can decide I need better social networking on my chess site.

I wish I could figure out how to turn meebo off, it is wrecking my enjoyment of this site.

You can turn off meebo on this page: http://www.chess.com/home/privacy.html . Under the "Chat Bar" setting.

You can also turn it off by putting meebo.com in the restricted sites. From internet explorer go to internet options, security, restricted sites, write meebo.com  This stops it coming up anywhere else also.

What's disappointing is that it was 'added' to our chess experience.

Three ways you can turn meebo off: 1.) Click on your name, then press 'sign off chat.' 2.) Click minimize, then click on the down arrow that says, 'hide.' 3.) Go to the accounts slide that looks like a flashlight but is really a meebo sign on your meebo bar, click on your chess name and press 'sign off chat.'

I didn't have to do that, young paduan, after making meebo a restricted site.
