Actually Im kinda ashamed of my member points coz it shows that I'm a member only a month and I still managed to post nearly 1000 times now. How pathetic...

Maybe we could make it so that if you post a picture by itself, you lose a point. Then you could work your total down to a value you didn't find so shameful. 
Maybe someone could post video of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then they could get dismember points. Hardy Har Har.

Nah-- just prolific posting. blackfirestorm666 hit 100,000 before Kirk. Also, blog posts get 2 points, and photo albums get 5 points, so people who put up that type of material frequently can add points pretty fast.

It's a way of encouraging constructive post over troll posts. In this way "Member points" trully become "Member points" because they are getting rid from "Troll points" to a certain extent. Please note also that what is the case for you might not be the case for everyone else too. If Member points were thought of as worthless from everybody, they wouldn't exist in the first place.

And you please note the same. I enjoy many of the pictures and vids posted, much more so than the text posts that consist of just "+1" or "lol" or whatever. I doubt the pics are posted just to amass points, as there are faster ways.

I do note that. But you seemed to suggest your view enjoys the approval of the majority, which is debatable, so I had to protest.

Plus, it's not a question of whether these posts are made with the intention to amass points but rather if these posts are representative of what would deserve "Member points" on this site. Thanks
