more detailed study plan?

I think beginners need it.  For instance in the opening senction of study plan there are a few videos examples for beginners to see. But here is very useful video serie about openings;

Why doesn't study plan contain this kind of series? Chess.com is deep which makes hard for a beginner to find a "Roadmap". So why not a better-more detailed study plan?

i could use one for intermediate players too - so many great videos (chess.com, youtube etc.) but i just wish it were catalogued in a way that i could watch them sequentially and improve on specific themes etc. - i guess you can look around and find stuff though

study plan is not sufficient.

Warbringer33

That study plan has been sitting on this site, unchanged, for years. It's pathetic.

Tactics stuff is ok and easiest in chess to learn and I enjoy the puzzles! But what about openings and strategies? Chess Mentor is a very nice idea, but it has too many small micro-subjects which feels more like puzzles, harder than tactics.

The study plan needs some rework. It's just too much information lying around and how do beginners know, which of the hundreds micro-things on subject x or y (videos, articles, mentor "puzzles") will actually help them.

Example: You, the beginner, see 100000 things on openings, where to start? Which videos/acticles/mentor-puzzles-series are the real long courses the beginner needs to guide him through and make him a member to stay here?

i think on chess.com our study plan is;

"look around you will find some stuff"

thank you chess.com

I am going to be completely honest with you. I do not believe in sugar coating things.

If you are the one trying to improve your chess skills. Than you should be the one to create a study plan.

Why would you want chess.com to give you a study plan? Why not make your own study plan.

If you do not wish to create a study plan. Than maybe you should consider getting a chess coach. Who will than be in the position to give you a plan of action to study.

I really think you guys and gals are confused on this thread. So what I will do is give you a metaphor.

Chess.com is almost like a GYM

When you buy membership to chess.com its like getting a memebership to a Gym.

You than gain full access of all there resources etc.

Once that happens you than can make a Work out plan/Chess plan. While using there resources.

Most people do that.

Some people don't know how to do it. So what they do is they get themselves a coach to show them what to do.

In a sense that is what is going on here.

mate... do you really think that i want chess.com to make a study plan only for me?

study plan section is just not sufficient and needs to be uptaded. it just doesn't fit here chess.com. that is it.

it should be the most detailed section on here. nobody can use chess.com properly without a decent study plan.

that is a suggestion and i know somebody will hear us. and i know that a lot of members agree with me.

i don't even want to write about your methapor and i don't want to write about your brillant idea getting myself a chess coach. :D

you just have no idea what you are talking about here . you are saying "study plan"  is a plan that must be made either the player himself/herself or his/her chess coach. but under this topic we talk about chess.com . and if someone writes "study plan" it means "STUDY PLAN "SECTION" ON CHESS.COM"

i say "STUDY PLAN SECTION ON CHESS.COM" must be developed and you are answering to me ;

-You should make your study plan yourself.

Do you see now how absurd your answer is? of course you don't. ok...

What you are saying makes no sense. I was trying to give you helpful advice.

If you say my answer is absurd than ok. Have a good day. I hope everything works out for you.
