Number of losers on chess.com

Really frustrating. Might switch chess plaform. The percentage of runners, losers and other small ego players is really high on chess.com. I think approx 25-30% of my matches end in waiting an x number of minutes for somebody who refuses to move in a lost position. Let alone the people who just disconnect in a losing position.

Isn't it possible to have a 3 strikes (temporary) out system? And a 3 strikes 3 times out forever? Or does that undermine the business case of the site?

really annoying.

why annoying?

when it's clear that they abandoned the game you can just start another one. You don't have to keep staring at the chessboard until their time runs out.

The attitude is annoying. Chess is more then just winning or losing a game. Would be weird if this sort of behaviour was not annoying

How different is it from other sites? I've only played at a couple other sites, but i experienced the same problems then. It's been a long time since, but i would think the problem has at least been the same if not increased.

hey dude, we played earlier. This isn't just the problem with chess.com. I have been playing online chess for last 4 years and and some 20 percent of my opponents simply abandoned their game in loosing positions. These guy can't simply accept the fact that they are losing. Interestingly after I moved up the rating ladder, I noticed that no of such players are very low amongst higher rated guys(and gals). If you are serious about chess and do not care about loosing, I think can probably find reasonably good opponents here(possibly any where too...).

PS: If you hate waiting to claim abandoned games, try grabing a coffee or try 10 pushups. Speaking of which, Playchess.com have feature which lets you claim abandoned games immedeatly. I would like to see something like that here.
