Working on restoring access!
Old Chess.com version!
Waiting for Erik to say, oops, you know what, we didn't mean for this to happen, but we, uh... misplaced V2, so it's gone now. Nothing I or anyone can do about it.

Oh, sorry, couldn't find it on youtube. That's what popped up when I googled, and I don't get any warnings when clicking on it.
v3 works very slow on my computer, and has no time/percentage elapse from the bar in Tactics screen.
Does anyone here prefer the V2 over V3 in regards to analysis board ?
V2 is readable.
If you have a Ph. D. in V3, apparently the now "bug free" V3 one is better. Same problem, V3 is simply not user friendly, is buggy and non-intuitive and has bits hidden.
VKJ, I would love to use V3 if it is good as you say it is.
I guess you are just more intelligent than 99% of us deplorables.
There are still annoying little quirks and bugs in V3. For instance, on my Android tablet, when I touch the bell-shaped "alerts" icon, nothing happens. It is only when I am using a desktop at the library can I access my alerts. My ability to function as an administrator has been crippled.
Still like the site and the many of the people, but I am no longer active like I once was. And it is unlikely I will get back to that level of supporting the site. Just playing out my remaining games.
Well, it is expensive to maintain both. Once their only is one version, there will be resources and focus to keep it stable.
This is from Erik earlier today;....
We are working to add it back. It was not intentional. Should be fixed later today. That said, it certainly WILL be going away soon. I would recommend you start to spend some time on V3 to get to know it better. Everything takes a little time, and then you get used to it. I've been through 4-5 major changes on my iphone. And with Windows. And with my favorite running shoes. And learning to drive on the left hand side of the road (you guys are nuts!). After a while, you just get used to it and cannot imagine how it used to be. That said, I know the process isn't easy or fun for everyone. But this is how software works. The YouTube, Facebook, Google and every major site of today is not the same as it once was. And when they change, everyone is mad and says it is a step backwards. And then in a few days they are used to it. I'm not trying to sound uncaring - I care a lot! I'm just being realistic. We've kept V2 around for a VERY long time to try to make every last person possible happy, and have made a lot of changes to make V3 more like V2 in many ways. The last hurdle is that V3 does not perform as well on older computers (especially the people still using Windows XP!). We are working on speeding it up for older CPUs. Once that happens, we will finally retire V2. Just like we did with V1 long ago. I'm sorry for those who are frustrated by this. I truly am.
Does anyone miss V1?
Heck, yeah. But it is not here to miss is the problem.
An arrow has to have a target for it to miss.
Erik says V2 is to be retired.
OK.
But, it may have consequences.
Getting V3 up to speed, and restoring some V2 functionality would help keep us. ,
Does anyone miss V1?
Heck, yeah.
Naa, you'd hate it, because you're used to V2 now.
Like many of you, I use the old site to play but have to go to the new site to get my games analysed.

You use the old site to play? Not in live that I know. Or do you know a way? P;ease tell.
When paper was invented, some missed the stone tablets. When computers were invented, some missed paper.

How does one get to v2 then? When I go to https://www.chess.com/settings/home-interface, and click on Switch to v2 below the video, I get a red banner that says "Did you mean to switch to the old Chess.com? Click here to switch." I click there, but when the page refreshes, I get the same red banner. I tried deleting cache and cookies, but still have the same problem.
