What's the best way to analyze one's game (besides chess.com analysis engine)? I don't see any question marks on my moves telling me I made a mistake. I also do not see any suggestions like chess.com does.

I use Houdini, but besides of telling who has the advantage, I don't know what steps to take to see how I can improve my game. Any suggestions?

Have a stronger player go over the game with you.

Try posting a game here, one where you're not sure where you went wrong. If you phrase it right, you could be surprised how many good players will give you valuable information. Even better if you've tried to analyze it first and post the notated game.

Thank you, but I was strictly speaking about chess engines. Do chess engines help you see when an inferior move has been made? To be honest, I see it all the time when I watch a game among GM's at chessbomb.com

The engine colors a move in red when a blunder has taken place. A sub-optimal move is colored in orange, and so on.

This appears to be done automatically by the engine.

Any suggestions?

How does the engine tell me which moves are bad? I have houdine which tells me who has the advantage but never puts a question mark on any move.

OK. Thanks...
