Player Fairness Rating - Take 2

So, I got wondering, would it be constructive/possible to show a player's fair play rating as part of their profile.  If that were the case could you also then set limits as to who you were willing to play based on that rating?

Based on the alert that you see at the end of a game if someone has disconnected or gone inactive, they get a rating like "x disconnects in the last day".  Then as part of my seek I can set not only the time controls, player rating, but also the "fair play rating".

That way if someone has had a bad run of internet or other factors out of their control, they aren't penalized for life but if they are obviously messing around there is some pain.  Additionally, if my internet is so bad that I can't finish the games I start, out of courtesy to my opponents, they should be made aware of this.

I know of course that chess.com has a system already for restricting the accounts of said offenders, but perhaps this would put it more in the hands of the individual members...

Oh, yes we can wait...we will get the free points etc.,  but isn't the point of chess.com to actually PLAY chess?! Undecided

While not the biggest issue in the world it may make chesss.com that much better for chess players.

Just a thought.  Comments?

The fair play "rating" is already use for random pairings, at least to some extent. Those players are already more likely to be paired against players that have similar habits.

At least, that is my understanding of how it works, though the specifics may get changed periodically.

Interesting...I didn't know that.
