TT is consistent in demanding the shortest number of moves to accomplish mate.  Unless the powers that be decide to change the criteria, that problem's fine.  Probably a good 10 or 20% of the problems are aggravating in that there are other slower ways to accomplish the same goal.  Doubt if it will be changed.  Just swear a blue streak at the monitor and move on; well, at least that's what I do.

There should be able to be multiple solutions.
If the puzzles are from real games, the goal is to see what the player did.
I don't think all the tactics are from real games.

I can understand finding something like a mate in 3 rather than a mate in 8, but this is simply ridiculous:
