Underlining can be done by highlighting text and hitting <CTRL>+U.
To my knowledge there's no equivalent shortcut key command for strikethrough.

The only way to do it at present is to export import it. It would be useful for highlighting edits.
This is a simple request: can we please have strike through available made easier as a font modifier in the forums?
Hmmm, strikethrough appears (through the word "available" in my quote above) in the edit screen when I export/import but gets removed when I actually post.
It would help if one of the Ctrl keys worked on this keyboard.
Yes -- and a new keybord for ManicDragon please.
Does using HTML work? Such as this. Or maybe this. Or perhaps this.
Edit: Evidently it does. Use "del and /del" tags or "strike and /strike" tags for strike through in the text of the message. Although the "s" tags don't work, which is surprising. They might be deprecated.
(If you don't know HTML, just write "del" then the text of your strike through, then "/del". Only replace the quotation marks with less than and greater than signs (i.e. < to open the tag, and > to close the tag)).
Hmmmm.... the first time I posted it just posted the tags in plain text. I edited and hit save (without changing anything) and the strikethrough worked.
Odd.

The same happened for me. Perhaps using the 'Save & preview' button would work?
I did "Save & Preview" on that first post and it didn't work. At least there's a workaround for the workaround. Thanks for figuring it out.
I could swear I was this close to getting the Blink tag to work.
Let's all be thankful that neither it, nor marqee work.

I've been there...Mt Dew killed my last keyboard.
let me try please
Strikethrough could be a useful weapon in chess.com's moderators' armoury:
1. Surprised at what you've written - text changed to italic
2. Dismayed by your post - text changed to strikethrough
3. Seriously aggrieved by your post - thread locked
4. You really shouldn't have written that - thread deleted (with extreme prejudice)
