you might not get good customer service from international group like chess.com. I'll bet they have so many people using their website, they won't be concerned with such complicated issues

You can use the analysis board during daily games to do a “self” analysis where you move the pieces yourself to investigate potential lines.

As always computer analysis or evaluation is NOT allowed.

If you hover the mouse over the gear symbol at the upper right corner of the chessboard, you will see a button with two arrows in the shape of a square. That should flip the board.

Thank you for your response - we found the button to turn the board - good to know (but is it only on laptop ? Not possible on smartphone?) And was hoping a functionality that help me to move myself the pieces from my side and opponent side for 2 or 3 moves to evaluate myself what are the potential moves rather than imagine them... if not possible, I will have to simulate it on a real board but difficult to do it for many games.

Tap/click on the button of a chessboard with a magnifying glass. That should open a “self” analysis board on which you can move the pieces.

For iPhone app:
To flip the chessboard, tap on the menu button with four lines at the bottom of the screen. You should see an option to flip the board.

Magnifying glass!!! That's what I was looking for! Thank you very much for this - I understand now why my challengers were not telling me that they were using this! 😉

For the flip board this is cripPaul who is thanking you.  I will check if I can find the option on my smartphone application too.

You can also type "x" to flip the board on a computer.
