Hey guys, this Tactics Trainer problem doesn't seem to make any sense. If I am wrong please correct me.

Try harder.

Queen has no squares to go to, he either gets forked and loses his queen or moves to white and black puts him in check mate.

@OP: Just for information, each Tactics Trainer problem has a place to make comments and ask questions. It appears after each attempt.

Any time you have a question about a TT problem, you can usually click Analysis to open a new window displaying analysis and scores in some sample lines.

duck_and_cover if you know how this position has an advantage, please enlighten the rest of us... as you can see in the comments there is no consensus, and the analysis doesn't show a clear win either.

The difference is -4.25 - +0.57 = -4.82, which is worth almost as much as a Rook.

Too much stock concerning a problem's viability should not be placed in comments. Many skeptics of TT problems do not bother to even look at the Analysis.

This is what I don't understand. If 3. Qxb7 what then? The analysis doesn't cover that.

Thanks Scott... So white is down a knight -- still seems preferable to losing the Queen, which is what happens in the analysis. But now I can at least see that white is losing material no matter what.
