hello

suggestion...

blunder moves or moves u dont want to do it but by mistake been done let the games finish -by resignation- even if it was agood game.wherefore,at liveChess there should be a "take back request"

if sb asked his opponent to take back and he accept it take just one move back...and sure its free for the opponent to decline it just like the draw request

You can play takeback games.

I played a takeback game one time, as a favor to someone I met on here. It was a training game.

Huge mistake.

Turns out that the game can only end by cooperation. One player can always undo back to whatever position they want. In my case, my opponent was not at all cooperative. My pride refused to allow me to resign the game just to end it. So I did find a solution though - take back moves all the way to the beginning, and then abort the game.

Note that we had a lot of dialogue in the game window about what was good, what was bad, et cetera. All of that was lost because of my opponent's stubbornness.

Oh well. Live and learn.

We should have a button that says "engine help request." Wink

but if ur opponent didnt accept ur request u cant take any move back, and if he accept it will be just one move,i dont think that any one will accept the take back more than one time.

sometimes i want to do amove and before i do it i found a better move or this move is fool...i want to put my pawn back at its place then by mistake i drop it at another place...that happens to me frequently Embarassed

so a take back request will solve this...especially if that move let u lose ur game

right??

The way they have takebacks implemented here is that either player can take back any move, and the games are always unrated.

What they have studiously avoided is enabling take-backs in rated games. I think this is a good idea, especially in turn-based chess. I mean, come on - you can look at the position for HOURS if you want.

Even more importantly is that if takebacks are possible, then you'll get opponents who sulk because you won't give it to them. Then they'll "punish" you by taking as LONG as they possibly can, with vacation. It's a whole can of worms to open, for what I would argue is not a very important feature.
