So for the one in a billion problem you had, you'd put in a "Are you sure you want to do this?" to bother the other 999,999,999 players?
Undoing promotion

@OP: A version of the touch-move rule takes effect whenever a move is made in Live Chess. Any move is final when the piece is dropped on a legal square. In order to be consistent with the rule, a Pawn move is considered final when it is dropped on a legal square, whether it is a promotion move or not.
In an actual tournament, if a player moved a Pawn from the 7th rank to the 8th rank, he would not be allowed to take the move back, even if the promoted piece were not yet placed on the board. The player would be committed to the move.
Therefore, to be consistent, one should not be able to opt out of the promotion menu of pieces that appears when moving a Pawn to its 8th rank.
Hi, I accidentally mouse slipped in a blitz game today and pushed a pawn to the first rank without meaning to. Is there a way to change the move once the pop up with the options for promotions comes up? If not, would it be possible to implement this feature?
Thanks.
