Using custom chessboard graphics via Stylish plugin?

Hey, on some other sites it is possible to modify the graphics on the chessboard using a plugin that allows replacing the css on the site that point to the custom graphics. I'm glad there are lots of options for graphics here, but I always like making my own. I'm not good at css stuff, though, so if someone could give an example of how to replace the chessboard squares and pieces, I would go to town.
I've got a pretty big collection of themes I've made for other sites and I'd like to the same here, I just don't know how to get started. I've looked around and not found anyone else that has done it here.
