Oh yeah, it would be very interesting!
Vote-Chess960 challenge with a Chess Master
good idea. thanks for bringing it to my attention. i'll monitor this thread to see how many others are interested. if it's only about 10 people vs the thousands that are interested in the Becerra and Pogonina games, then we won't be doing it (soon), despite the fact that i think it would be terrific.
Let's hope there are other players interested. This would definitely add an extra to this site and would make the real difference. :)
I would like to play IM Rensch. He is very funny and I would like to hear what
he had to say after the game's conclusion.
There is a lot about chess 960 to like; wouldn't it be something if it became as popular to play as the standard game in our lifetimes.
One of the downsides of Chess 960 is that many positions there favor White considerably. In otb play it is sometimes compensated by lack of time (rapid time control) and lack of knowledge. However, in vote chess the side which plays Black has a decent chance of not surviving through the opening stage.
To compensate that, we could play 2 simultaneous games:
1 with black and 1 with white using the same Starting Position for both.
(just an idea to reduce that possible advantage for white)

I've heard that argument before but haven't yet come across a game where it can be shown that black is at a larger disadvantage than in a standard game. If anyone can post such a game, I would be very interested in analyzing it to make sure that black simply didn't anticipate properly.
I really enjoyed the vote chess challenges played with titled players:
i.e.
GM Challenge: Chess.com vs Julio Becerra
Pogonina vs. Chess.com
So my question is, there will be a chance to have one vote-chess960 challenge?
There are not many opportunities to see chess GMs playing 'Fischer Random' and it would be great to enjoy one game like that one here at chess.com!
Thanks!
