Why do some member start with a different initial rating?

I started at 921. Even though I didn't enter through the IOS app.

It's just a number.

I started at 1200.

Proffesor, I do play this opening on another site where I play bullet, but it doesn't really help much, haha. 

So you mean that some new members actually chose 800 on purpose? 

I'd have to go and see if I can find the forum where it was mentioned but I think they choose levels like beginner, intermediate, etc. That then assigns a rating; though I guess it may also have a rating on the choice when they make it.

Maybe it's just a way for fix the real level of rating from a player

I npticed this as well, at first I thought that they had changes it from 1200, to 1100 and I was thinking. what a GOOD THING i came early for the party XD
