Hi is it possible to do a tournament that has just 2 players in each group...so that it becomes a knockout tourney...because I have just created such a tournament my only worry is what happens if each player wins one game who would go through in such a case?

The tiebreak does not work in a group of two.

You can see this in the pairings in these tournaments where both players advance if tied.

It can be ramdonly decided at our level its not really such a telling advantage....if its a draw then black wins also.

1600 and under no big deal if your playing black or white...so make it random and one game per round. We should be able to design the formats of our own tournaments or whats the point?

Because otherwise they'll all the same anyway..
