A player has been banned in my daily tournament - do I gain tournament points back?

A player who was originally first place in my group has been banned for cheating @ chess.com 2025 daily tournament.

Does that mean I gain wins from the games played against him/her? I won 1 game and lost 1.

(I also noted that he lost some points, but not all. He has 9 points up to now. What makes the difference?)

Game results aren't changed.

Yes the game result will be changed but you can't participate if the next round started

Is there a reason why game results aren't changed? If a player's account is closed by chess.com, I'd assume that all their games are voided, regardless of whether the result is finished or if they used outside assistance. A player in my group also got banned for fair play violations only after I had resigned my game against them even though I, alongside other players in the group, have reported the player several times beforehand. Had I known this was the case, I could've played on for another month and waited for someone else to lose and trigger the alarm bells. Understandably rules are rules, but it's still a disappointing outcome for me and others who've been affected by these users.
