ANOTHER Tournament Prob

Hey... I've signed up for a tournament (#8 is what it's. Follow this link to see it: www.chess.com/tournaments/83. Thing is, the number of required players for the tournament to start is 9, and 9 are registered. Why won't it start? It's WAY past the start date. This is really frustrating me, because this is the exact kind of tourney I've been looking for, and something just had to happen.

1) How do you set up a tournment requiring 9 players? Shouldn't there be an even number?

2) Your link is broken.

Sorry about the link thing. Www.chess.com/tournament/83

If you follow the correct link, then you will see that there is a tournament with nine registered players.

The most likely cause is that the TD didn't keep the AUTO-START option checked when creating the tourney. I don't think the start date actually means anything. So the TD will need to go in and manually start it.

However, I'm not sure the TD can start the tourney, since he isn't a premium member, though maybe he could since the help only states that requirement on creating tournaments.

I say forget that tourney. Instead go to this one: www.chess.com/tournament/dinamo-zg-bbb2

This one isn't really connected but perhaps somebody can help please.

Diamond and Platinum have unlimited opportunity to compete in tournaments, so, how many can a Gold member play in at any one time, and the same question regarding free members?

Avatar of t_taylor

free can only play one, gold can play up to 10 i think.
