this is our fourth enstalment.  here's a description:

Lads, you know the drill. (but if you don't)  Play well, keep up on your moves, be cool, no vacations, say hello, be respectfull, kick ass, try stuff, watch your backrank, don't dilly-dally, no time-outs, no stalling, communicate, respect yourself--your oppoents-and the game.

oh yeah and chess is not a sport!

only for people wanting to play.  period.  no wafflers and stragglers.  come join if that's you.

What's the reasoning for a 12(1)->2 format where you want speed? In the worst case scenario, the slowest players won't start their second game until all other games in the first round are done.

With one game at a time per opponent a single round takes roughly double the time of a 6(2)->1 or a 6(2)->2.

In your tournament there will be two rounds so the winner will be decided in roughly the time it takes a four round tournament where both games per opponent are played at the same time.

Perhaps you set it up so you can play everyone in the tournament?

I agree for one part, we need to play a person twice at a time! not once a time.

sorry what does this mean?

"Max Avg Time/Move: 3 hours "

it is a day a move correct?

Avatar of ilikeflags

it means you have to average less than 3 hours per move to play...
