No, I don't think that there is anything wrong in joining your own tournament if you want to. People create and join their own tournaments all the time.

I felt like this as well, I usually have 50 + tournaments that I have running for the club I am in. I am in two tournaments, and that was to get them started as they only needed one player and I could not wait lol. (chess still excites me even after 50 years of playing).

I recently created my own under 1300 daily chess tournament and was wondering if it would look bad for me to join. I really like doing these daily tournaments and have a bit of a lull in activity right now, so I was thinking I could join my own tournament that I created. However, this seems wrong. What would the consensus on this be?
