MM78, yes, you're right. It's especially difficult, when you're playing 100+ games, that some of your 1600-rated opponents are in fact 2300 strength (they're just "moving up the ladder").
But actually my goal at that time was to broaden my openings knowledge, for which large numbers of simultaneous games is perfect. You're right (of course) that the standard of play goes down, the larger the number of in-progress games.
Ha, on the other hand, I've kept my number of games low, and I've lost over 200 rating points. So, who knows? Granted, two losses were against a player who has since been banned. But still.
