why not surprizing and dis is not that old

it was a week ago, also not surprising as magnus has lost to young prodigies before with prag being no exception but to beat him in a match especially classical will be more surprising

he lost but he is strong and a word champion who is meant to be a CHAMPION and not lose by anyone. And if he loses isn't it a news ?

Kowarenai

if it was like what ding liren did then yeah it would be news, this is just normal

ur wish.....

Carlsen drew Kasparov in a rapid game at 13. Stuff like this happens... but don't feel bad about our lack of excitement. Praggnanandhaa is somewhat famous. The chess community knows he's a talented young player from India.

Kowarenai

not to mention he did have corona while playing many including prag

Pan_troglodites

Well, this   doesn't mean that Magnus Carlsen will always be defeated.

Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, or Praggna, for short,  is considered a prodigy! I believe that he will be a great champion.

Yeah. He is only 16.. I can't wait to see him become even better than he already is.

You cant ein all your games lol. Magnus has lost before and he will lose again. Most world champions actually don’t have a very long undefeated streak. Example: Tal.

A world champion only needs to beat GMs somewhat consistently, maybe 3 or4 games out of five.

Kowarenai

magnus loses to FM's and small masters time to time online and he accepts that, while he may be the world champion his losses online are inevitable compared to OTB where he is much more disputable and resistant against some of the best especially in classical format

He crushed pragg in tata steel tho, he ain't buggin

and from what i remember pragg was last or 2nd last in that tourney, so he buggin fosho

Thee_Ghostess_Lola

Not by pragg tho, pragg is an usurper . He do be buggin

zone_chess

I agree it was shocking and he sometimes gives it away out of charity - or not wanting to bother.
But this one was well-deserved and a magnificently praggmatic setup.

Sub_FierceIsh11

hmm do you have the game?
