I think it was rated, I got an official FIDE rating afterwards. It was a <1000 tournament, and everyone I played was in the 600-900 range. There was one guy who was 991, and he won the whole tournament!

I still remember my first OTB tournament... a school championship. Fifty-three years ago.

Notate ur games. That way u can study them later to improve. Also, it's a requirement for rated tournaments.

Sounds good, I'll start doing that. Wait, it's a requirement? Then maybe my tournament wasn't "rated", because only three people notated (out of 10).
