As a fellow member of the world cup, I have similar concerns. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to change the time limit ;(. And, knowing haddad, the game WILL take many years :P...

I playing in the World Cup.  We have 24 players.  My suggestion is to shorten the time for each move.  14 days is much to long to make a move.  If a person took that amount of time, when it was only their turn,  the game it would take 350 days to make 25 moves.  That is only if one player used his 14 day limit and,the other player moved immediately.

This tournament could last many years at that rate.  I would suggest a max of 5 days per move,  as we are playing opponents from all over the world.

Not noticing "Time Control: 14 days/move" when you registered in "World Cup!" is a pretty big oversight.

Luckily "(both games per opponent start immediately)" is in place.

You will find each move from haddad56 will take 13 and a half days or more. For your next tournament look for the "Max Avg Time/Move" setting being used.

I have been in a game with Haddad for about 2 years.  He is winning and will beat me in this game.  I refuse to resign to this guy.  When I don't move, and time is about to lose the game for me (which I want to happen) low and behold, my vacation kicks in and another 14 days are given for the next move.

I need help.

..Just resign & dont hold the progress of the tournament anymore ...you are in a completely losing position since about 6 months ...
