Timeout

I have tried joining a tournament but have been refused because my timeout pecentage is higher than 10%.

I tried to get around this obsticle by organising my own tournament but again was refused as this limit is 5%.

Is there a tournament out there with a higher limit or can the rules be relaxed?

I play a high number of games at a time so when my interweb connection went south it gave me a large timeout percentage, I have tried to work around this problem by playing most of my games @ 14 days /move.

I feel that my exclusion from participating in tournaments is unfair, can anyone help me please?

Many Thanks

Andy

If you create your own tournament you should be able to set the timeout percentage option as you like. The only way to lower your timeout percentage would be to play more rated Online Chess games and complete them without losing the games on time. As you continue to complete more games you will start to see your timeout percentage go down.

I am in the same delima.  I had a hard drive crash on my main PC, my daughter's laptop motherboard quit and a virus on my laptop that forced me to reformat and start again.  I was a greeter and lost a few of those games to timeouts.  I would prefer 7+ days/move but usually move everyday when things work.

Track this member with no timeout restriction tournaments.

To save you a lot of frustration make a suggestion in the wishlist that the timeout restriction limit be shown in the tournament details.
