Timer misconfiguration dispute

Geez, I dont know...
I wouldn't think incorrect timer falls under wrong configuration, though.
I find it hard to believe that in a 3 hour + increment game nobody noticed the clock was wrong? I think it's the responsibility of the player to check that.
Also, couldnt the arbiter just add time to the clock for every move made, and let the game continue?

Every indication given by the clocks is considered to be conclusive in the absence of any evident defect. A chess clock with an evident defect shall be replaced. The arbiter shall replace the clock and use his best judgment when determining the times to be shown on the replacement chess clocks. |
