I know that i have already posted such a thread but i have a really important tournament coming up. I hope you can help me with a full-fledged time-table. I go to school on weekdays, have 1 hr. of homework, 3-4 hours free. Weekends around 8 hours each day. I am 1526 rated FIDE ( but that is 1 year back, i have not played since then ) and USCF 1818 ( recently, 1 month ago when i went on a holiday. I play the Benko as black to d4, Pirc to e4 and i play e4 as White. To the Sicilian i play Nc3 and to French and Caro-Kann the exchane variation. To e5 the Evans Gambit. I am a positional player and have scored awesome positional wins but i don't suck at tactics either.I am very athletic, play almost all sports you can name ( except for golf! :) ) Please try and chart out a whole time-table, ill reallllllllly appreciate it. The tournament is in 10 days. Yup , thats it, thanks and please reply asap......

Sorry but I think this is one of those things you have to figure out for yourself. The odds of a total stranger coming up with an ideal tnmt prep program for you strikes me as being a tad bit optimistic, to put it mildly. What have you been doing in the past to get ready for tnmts? And how much time do you have available to do so in - as in how many days ahead of the tnmt and how much time each day on the average?

How many games are your ratings (USCF and FIDE) based on? Also I think telling us your age (even approx) might help in getting some better tailor-made(?) answers, basically I'm thinking of different advice for a full-time student under 18 than for someone who maybe old enuff to have a family and/or full-time job (ie more distractions away from the chess bd)

One suggestion: start going thru your records and seeing which openings you're the most and least succesful with, and if you have a dismal record with anything in particular I'd seriously consider replacing it ASAP
