The event you were playing in was G/75;d5. Last I checked, the lower k-value is only used for dual-rated events. Since this was not a dual-rated event, it would use the normal k-value. The estimator (http://www.uschess.org/content/view/13317/898/) gives 2378 as your estimated rating.

In short, unless they changed a rule recently (and I do not recall them doing so at the US Open last year), it was rated correctly.
