Getting fed up with joining a tournament with a ranting cap, only to then get beaten by somebody 200 points higher.
Surely it wouldn't be too hard to not allow people over the rating cap to play in a tournament?
That sounds like a good thing-- a "ranting" cap.
Seriously, it looks like you play a lot of daily chess and when tournaments go on for months, people's ratings change. Chess.com decided a long time ago to rate games based on the most up to date rating, not the rating that was in place months or years earlier when the game started.
Everyone would have been under the cap when the tournament started but months later, many ratings have changed.
I see you lost yesterday to a 1408 in an 1000-1199 tournament that started on January 2nd.
Your opponent was rated 1130 when the tournament started.
