Why is my chess.com rating higher than my CFC rating?

My current chess.com standard rating is 1418, and I have beaten a few 1500+ rated players so far. But at my first tournament last week, I lost to a 987 CFC rated player. How does this make sense?

Different player pools. Honestly, I think the ratings on chess.com tend to be somewhat inflated, anyway.

Also a single loss against a weak(er) opponent doesn't mean much with regard to your general playing strength or rating.

U may not know whether u are playing the real opponent or he is getting help from someone or maybe using a computer against u. Who knows?

What's proven is you've been here for a week, and haven't played 1 game.
