I am a college graduate of Coe College with a Bachelor's in Physics and minor in Mathematical Science, and I have plans to pursue a PhD in Engineering or Physics.  I also hold an Associate's Degree for an AS in Liberal Arts for Science from Kirkwood Community College.  A highlight of my academic career or a memorable moment was graduating high school as the #1 ranked Valedictorian in a class of 317 and being our school's Governor's Scholar as the top academic achiever for JHS for that year in the student body.  For my hobbies, I play chess when I get time, but I am also involved with many other activities.  For example, the chess team, the math team, bowling, and I did cross country and track and field for a few years.  I am an Expert in USCF otb blitz and online blitz and did get Expert in classical otb peaking out at 2005. I hope to get the ultimate National Master title one day.

I am an AFM by FIDE and a former USCF Expert with a rating otb of 1969.  Message me on chess.com for coaching, rates are $25 an hour but I am negotiable on that.
