5th FIDE Grand Prix in Jermuk
Even if you can't remember what happened in the first four Grand Prix events, and more to the point, have forgotten what the winner qualifies for*, the 5th Grand Prix is still a major chess competition, which will be eagerly followed by chess fans around the world.
The venue is Jermuk in Armenia, and the 14 world-class entrants will fight it out in a single round-robin format from 9-23 August, headed by top seed, Lev Aronian (pictured), fresh from his World Rapid Chess win in Mainz.
