PRESS RELEASE -- Chess.com LLC

Chess.com and the United States Chess Federation (USCF) have agreed to terms that will bring USCF Quick Rated play to Chess.com's live server twice a week.

Chess.com participants must become USCF members to play. Click here to join the US Chess Federation.

These events will be open only to US Chess Federation members and are part of a larger cross-marketing agreement between Chess.com (and its scholastic site, ChessKid.com) and the US Chess Federation for their mutual benefit and cooperative effort to grow chess in the United States.

"We are so pleased with our partnership to bring US CHess online rated play to the members of Chess.com," said IM Danny Rensch, Vice President of Content and Professional Relations for Chess.com

Chess.com will host both a weekly blitz event for more casual, fun games, and a rapid tournament with longer time controls for a more serious crowd. Both events will be official US Chess online Blitz and Quick rated events.

"We are excited to work with Chess.com to grow the game and promote US Chess online rated play," said US Chess Federation Executive Director Jean Hoffman.

To celebrate the launch of these events, Chess.com will be giving prizes to the winners of each of the first 10 events! Winners will have their choice of an official Chess.com hat or t-shirt:
