Chess.com Launches New Dashboard View On Events Page
Chess.com is happy to announce the new Dashboard view on our Events page. You can now find all the information you need on the same page, making navigation much easier and more intuitive. This new view mirrors the old Chess24 interface, a success among chess fans.
Here's a closer look at the new Dashboard view and all the great things it can do:
- How To Access The Dashboard View
- Find Past, Current, And Upcoming Games
- Analyze Games On The Spot
- Check Out The Standings And Players' Past Results
- Learn More About The Event's Format
- Find Other Events To Watch
How To Access The Dashboard View
The new Dashboard view is an entirely different way of navigating our Events page. To access it, go to any event's page and click the Dashboard button at the top.
Find Past, Current, And Upcoming Games
You can easily find past, current, and upcoming games using the navigation bar and dropdown menu at the top of the Dashboard view. The numbers in the navigation bar show every round of the event. Click the round you want to observe and the dropdown menu lets you pick a game from that round.
You can also see all the games of an event by scrolling down and selecting the Boards tab. The search bar above the boards lets you quickly find the game you're looking for by searching for any player in the event:
Analyze Games On The Spot
As you switch through games, you also have access to the engine evaluation of each position and the overall accuracy of the game.
While looking at a game, you can play a move on the board to analyze different variations. You can also see the engine's recommendations below the board.
Check Out The Standings And Players' Past Results
Scroll past the board and you will find the live standings of the event. Below the Standings, you'll also find the Results tab, where you can see all of a player's results for each round of the tournament.
You can also click the name of any player anywhere to bring up a side tab with the player's information and a list of their results in that event.
Learn More About The Event's Format
You can also find all the information about major events by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the Info tab. There, you'll learn more about the players, format, prizes, and everything else about the event.
Find Other Events To Watch
Finally, you can find all current and upcoming events by switching to the Events tab at the top. If the event is part of a series (like the Titled Cup) you can select which specific event (for example, Late Titled Tuesday on April 23) that you'd like to see with the dropdown menu at the top:
