Palo Alto, Calif., July 7, 2020—Chess.com and Twitch are teaming up once again to bring chess to the esports mainstream with a Europe vs. North America team event called Twitch Rivals: Chess Showdown to be held on Friday, July 10 at 1 p.m. Pacific time / 22:00 Central Europe. The prize fund is $15,000.
The tournament has 16 participants in four teams of four players. They start with a round-robin phase in which each team faces the other three teams.
