Puzzle Rush: Chess.com's New Addictive Feature
What if you took the satisfaction of solving puzzles and mixed it with the intensity of blitz chess? You'd have Puzzle Rush—Chess.com's new feature that has everyone with early access going crazy.
The rules are simple:
- Solve as many puzzles as you can in five minutes.
- Each puzzle gets harder as you go.
- Three strikes and you’re out.
I personally got past 30, which felt insane. But right now, top players are trying to break 50. Last night, Hikaru Nakamura spent hours on a private Twitch stream trying to get there and couldn't break 49! Who will be the first to pass the barrier!?
WGM Tatev Abrahamyan was also doing her best to get to 50 on Twitch yesterday and was deep into the 40s many times.

Puzzle Rush is available now on the web, and will be released for iOS very soon (in a few days). The Android version is coming early next year.

Yes, I am the guy who started Chess.com (along with Jay, Igor, Piotr, and many others). I have 3 amazing daughters, one wild son, and a wonderful, patient wife! I learned chess when I was 8 years old. Since then I have been playing, studying, and enjoying it regularly. I prefer semi-open and closed positions that blow up tactically (like the Closed Sicilian, King's Indian, Glek etc).
