1. All vote chess team members "turn on" tracking in the comments section.
2. Prior to any votes be cast, each vote team shall elect a team captain who will be responsible to tallying and
reporting of all votes.
3. Members should sign in and suggest an opening depending on team color. This will help if all members are
thinking along the same line of play. Really awkward if some playing Ruy Lopez and others the Benko Gambit?
If somebody likes a move, let them post and explain their plan. The way to better vote chess is through
communication, not only with your team mates but also with yourself.
4. Allow for members to evaluate moves to determine the better move before submitting the team vote. Don't
become individualistic thinking, remember this is a team match allow everyone their say so.
5. Be Polite - we are all on the same team, if you don't agree with another members suggestion do so in a polite
manner, please refrain from negative or hurtful comments. In other words, just because someone suggests a
move that may be an obvious blunder, you don't have to tell him his move is dumb or stupid. Instead, use the
opportunity to help that individual to see his mistake, it will help him to becoming a better player,
6. Resigning: should be a last resort measure, however, there will be instances where we won't have a choice.
lets be good sports, resign when the game is totally a no win or draw situation. Believe me, your opponents
will appreciate and recognize our team for it. Eventually, teams will note us for our honest and fair play, leading
to more repeat matches.
7. Encourage participation of our lower rated members to get involved with our team matches.
8. Submit suggestions to teams you would like to play against.
9. When we are victorious post a team note regarding our win.
10. When we lose, congratulate the opposing team and request a re-match.
I hope this will help bring our vote chess team matches more coordination and success in the future.
