The younger sister of Anna Muzychuk, this sister duo is one of the strongest sibling chess duos in the world. With Anna currently being the 4th highest rated female in the world and Mariya being the 11th highest, this dynamic duo has rocketed up the rating charts in short time. Mariya has had a good amount of accomplishments herself and is working towards getting the full Grandmaster title in the near future.

Mariya Muzychuk is the younger sister of Anna Muzychuk, the 4th best female chess player in the world. At a young age, Mariya had her fair share of chess accomplishments. These included her winning the Girls U-12 Ukraine Championship in 2004. Mariya became a Woman International Master in 2005 and a Woman Grandmaster in 2007. She became a full International Master in 2008 and later won the Ukrainian Women’s Championship in 2012. Though she has previously been ranked as high as the 5th best female player in the world, she is currently the 11th highest rated at the moment. She has recently peaked at a rating high of 2524 in March 2014.
