Week 4 Update
As we finish week 4, the first round is down to it's final 12 games. Here is the update from our remaining active groups, with a summary of qualifiers at the end. Groups 4, 6, 10, 20, 22 & 26 remain active.
In group 4 shhuuvus (7/7) leads and qualifies top, with Pauligne (6/8) qualifying second. Valery-1953 (3/6) is third and roski666 (2/7) is fourth.
In group 5, with Valik24 already through, Reix111 (4/8,17) holds on to qualify second. palusa58 (4/8,10) finishes third. 77mastermind77 (3/8) ends in fourth.
In group 6, rene_mac (6/6,14) maintains first place. Telo21 (5/6,11) retakes second. Both qualify with Santy690 (4/8) finishing third and Sir_CyCy (3/8) fourth.
In the battle for group 10's second qualifying spot, Taho_77 (4/7,8) and GAD17 (4/7,6) are battling it out for the second qualifying spot with one game remaining against each other to decide who makes it into round 2.
Group 15 has just concluded. Strawy_007 (8/8) has qualified top, becoming our 11th ace. Khyberoptic (4/8) qualifies thanks to Amikar99's withdrawal.
Group 17 has concluded. Ramiro72 (6.5/8) wins his final game to finish top of the group, ahead of sirgales (6/8) who qualified last week. Itjacques10 (5.5/8) finishes third in a tight group.
Group 20 is now over barring bragging rights. nikdim75 (6/7,15) leads arklan202 (6/7,14) on tie-breakers. Both have a final game against the other to determine the group winner. EmptyWolf (5/8) finishes third.
Group 22 has seen further progress with week. Mashy444 (5.5/6,10.75) maintains a one-point lead over Acerb95 (4.5/6,6.75) in second, with Artuno2005 (3/3,4.5) third and Lynch-82 (2/6) fourth.
Group 23 has concluded with a three-way tie for second place. Schelkovchanian (8/8) is our 10th ace, qualifying top. ce_1 (4/8,8), bab12345609 (4/8,8) & BlakeChess1091 (4/8,8) are all tied for second. As I understand it, all three qualify for round two.
Group 25 has finished with another tie for second place. Gillingham2020 (5/8,10) lost his final game against bgz07 (5/8,10), meaning both players qualify for the second round.
In group 26, two games remain to be decided for pride. Silentbob1972 (6/7) has a game left against Jaybo4330 (3/6) in fourth, who also has a game against gregchav (3.5/7) in third.
Group 28 has concluded. emprexer (4.5/6) wins his remaining games to finish third, ahead of alagosnir (4/8) who finishes fourth.
Group 31's shootout for second place between americoata1981 (5/8) and igor19630 (4.5/8) finished in the former's favour and he qualifies in second with igor19630 third..
In group 34, Benico123 (4/8) in third and JoshuaKieninger (3.5/8) in fourth drew their final game to conclude the group..

In group 4 shhuuvus (7/7) leads and qualifies, with Pauligne (5/7) currently second. Valery-1953 (3/5) is third and roski666 (2/7) is fourth.
In group 5, with Valik24 already through, Reix111 (4/8,16) still holds second and palusa58 (4/8,8) in third. 77mastermind77 (2/6,8) lies fourth, but could yet qualify from their two remaining games.
In a wide-open group 6, rene_mac (5/5,11) takes over first place. Santy690 (4/7,6) slips to second, with telo21 (3/4,4) and Sir_CyCy (3/6,3) in third and fourth respectively.
In group 9, the battle for third has finished with LesMinion (4/8) beating out XandrezPatifaria (2.5/8)

Group 15 has concluded. Strawy_007 (7/7) qualifies top. Amilkar99 (6/8) has withdrawn despite finishing second, allowing Khyberoptic (4/7) through to round 2. The qualifiers have a final game between each other outstanding. Can Khyberoptic deny Strawy_007 a perfect record?
Group 16 has also finished, with CarlosAmaya (7/8) pipping Sternflotte (6/8) to the top spot. samuelplayer (5/8) finishes third.
No change in group 17. ramiro72 (5.5/7,18.25) needs to avoid defeat against bottom placed 25_manu to finish top and qualify ahead of sirgales (6/8,15) who is already through. Itjacques10 (5.5/8,12.75), lies third.
Group 18 has just concluded, Beth2006 (6/8) wins her final game to qualify top. Gerlue (5.5/8) qualifies in second with L0razepan (5/8) finishes third.
Group 20 is moving toward a finish this week. arklan202 (6/6,14) still leads from EmptyWolf (5/7,8) and nikdim75 (4/5,4) in a three-way shoot out.
Group 22 has seen progress with week. mashy444 (5/5,8) takes the lead. Acerb95 (4/5,4) lies second, with Artuno2005 (3/3,4) third and Lynch-82 (2/6) fourth.
Group 23 has been the one to watch this week. Schelkovchanian (7/7) takes the lead and qualifies top. ce_1 (4/7,8), bab12345609 (4/8,8) & BlakeChess1091 (4/8,8) are all tied for second. ce_1 has a game remaining against Schelkovchanian to secure qualification.
In group 24, Vincenzp (5/8) wins his final game, with zjbranson (3.5/8) fourth.
Group 25 is another three-way shootout to watch. Ferz61 (7.5/8) finishes top of the group and is first through from the group. Gillingham2020 (5/7,9) climbs to second with bgz07 (4/7,5) dropping to third. They have a final game between each other to determine the second qualifier.
In group 26, Silentbob1972 (6/7) has taken top spot. wadsworthlongfellow (5.5/8) qualifies in second. gregchav (3.5/7) remains third and Jaybo4330 (3/6) fourth.
babyfalcon (8/8) qualifies top of group 27, joining Pythios & Pobol as our aces with a perfect record. prognosyk (6/8) qualifies in second place. pivnik (4/8) finishes third.
Adrianros2 (6.5/8) qualifies top of group 28. clachglas (5/8) climbs into second and also qualifies. Third is alagosnir (3/7,7.5) with emprexer (2.5/6,10.5) fourth. bittug8 (0/4) remains yet to score.
Leopoldoric11 (8/8) is our fourth ace, with a perfect record to qualify top of group 29. OllyH (6/8) qualifies in second, with eliesucef & adease (3/8,3) finishing joint third.
In group 30, MSTER264786 (8/8) becomes our 9th ace, qualifying top with a perfect record. MClarke95 (5/8,9) and socratesircito (5/8,9) qualify in joint second. As I understand the tie-break protocols, this means three players go through from this group.
Group 31’s three-way fight is down to a two-way shootout. AndrewM_67 (7.5/8) qualifies top, with americoata1981 (4/6,7.25) & igor19630 (3.5/4,4.5) having a pair of games against each other for the second qualifying place.
Group 32 has been settled. rigog (7/8,20) wins bragging rights and top spot, defeating Gotacek (6/8,18) in the final game to clinch top spot. Both move forward to round 2, with learnmychess (4/8) finishing third.
Group 33 has concluded. elgelas (7/8) finishes top with Anatbojko (6/8) is second with both players qualifying. admedmismail (4/8) finishes third, with JaThLa1 (3/8) in fourth.
askandiwillblunder (7/8) takes first place in group 34. AleDottore00 (5.5/8) qualifies in second. Benico123 (3.5/7) holds third with a final game against fourth place JoshuaKieninger (3/7,3) remaining.
kovalenko-s (7/8) qualifies top of group 35, in the shock result of the round as a 400-rated player cleans house. Sla28 (5/8,9) and Lukey67 (5/8,9) tie for second place. Rah11978 (2/7) finishes fourth. Again, as I understand it, both players qualify for round 2.
Dolf156 (8/8) is our winner of group 36 and becomes the 5th player with a perfect record in round 1. smajkl (5/8,9) and EthanFinn22 (5/8,9) for are tied for second with identical records. Once more, as I understand it, both players qualify for round 2.
Group 37 concluded over the weekend. mpfdk (7/8) qualifies in first, with psych99 (6/8) qualifying second. MartinJulianInsua (5/8) finishes third.
dstand (7.5/8) qualifies top of group 38. vadim18181818 (5/8,12.5) pips jpatie11 (5/8,10) for second on tie-breaks. GuigaMoraes (2.5/8) finishes in fourth.
Group 39 was riddled with time-outs. Cerezales (8/8) is our 6th ace, whilst Shogun6666 (6/8) qualifies in second place. LukeShepardPlus (4/8) finishes in third.
Finally, in group 40, DmitryAdman (8/8) becomes our 7th ace, qualifying top of the group with a perfect record, with Speckinator (6/8) qualifying in second. cdoshea & Kingjoseph98 (3/8,3) finish equal third.

As we finish week 2, the first round is nearing its conclusion.
In a heavily time-out affected group 1, Pythios (8/8) finishes first with a perfect record thanks to a pair of victories over Pavlei71 (6/8) who qualifies second. AchrisXDestroysU (3/8) finishes in third place.
In group 2, Pobol (8/8) qualifies top with a perfect record. andreasmolinasc (5/8) holds on to qualify in second place with gonz14 (4/8) third.
In group 3, vitjanik (6.5/8) and falikovitz (6/8) qualify first and second respectively. TheArnie (3.5/8) finishes third.
No changes in group 4. shhuuvus (6/6) leads, with Pauligne (4/6) second. Valery-1953 (2/3) and roski666 (2/5) third share third.
Valik24 (6/7) qualifies top of group 5, with Reix111 (4/8,15) currently holding second and palusa58 (4/8,6) in third. 77mastermind77 (2/5,8) lies fourth, but could yet qualify from their three remaining games

Group 7’s player ban created a tremendous four-way battle has seen weberlis (6.5/8) pip vikash0217 (6/8) to the top spot. Piusantonius (5/8) finishes a close third.
Group 8’s qualifiers have also been determined. Skeetrockfarms (7/7) has stormed through to qualify in the top spot with early leader silverock (5/8) also through in second. KingPeterX (3/8,9) was in third before withdrawing, leaving oscargalfon (3/7,5) with a change of taking third spot on merit.
No change either in group 9. existanjoy (6/6,17) has qualified, along with DlugiParagon2007 (6/8,8) in second. LesMinion (2/6) and XandrezPatifaria (1.5/4) are battling for the third place position.
A tight group 10 has begun to settle. teo74 (7/7) has extended their lead and qualifies for round 2. Taho_77 (4/6,4) and GAD17 (2/3,2) are battling it out for the second qualifying spot, with Bane_M_29 (1/6,1) slipping into fourth and RefreshRabi (1/6,1) bringing up the table.
Group 11 is over. MGEAV5 (7/8,19) and madamcza (7/8,19) both qualify in equal first place with an identical record. HannibalMO (4/8) finishes in third.
In a tense group 12, Kannon1972 (6/7,15) and catalin_bo (6/8,15) share the lead. catalin has a nervous wait on the outcome of the final game between Kannon & CorvetteC3 (5/7,10). It’s two from these three through, but who and in what order you’ll have to wait and see.
In the completed group 13, johnsond1 (6/8,22.5) qualifies in first. wolfwerner (6/8,16) comes through to qualify in second place, edging emad2018 (4/8,11.5) into third.
Group 14 is also complete. GoodApolloCC (6.5/8,18.75) finishes top on tie-breaks from Cleave_A (6.5/8,17.25). Vitaliy443 (5/8,10.5) finishes a strong third.
Group 15 is down to a three-way race. Amilkar99 (6/6,12) still leads from Khyberoptic (4/6,4), and Strawy_007 (4/4,4).
Group 16 is also close, with Sternflotte (6/7,14) sharing the lead with CarlosAmaya (6/7,14). samuelplayer (4/6,4) has one game remaining against each to close out the group.

L0razepan (5/8,7) still leads a rapidly evolving group 18 going into week 3. gerlue (4.5/7,15.5) is in second, Beth2006 (4/6,17) has moved into third and looks good odds to qualify with two games remaining against bottom placed MarcEngel (0/5). Roby62bg (3.5/8) finishes fourth.
Group 19 finishes with tigercek1 (7/8,17) and freekolum4 (7/8,17) both qualifying with equal first place. SamDorianPaladin (4/4) finishes third.
The final game in the top half of the draw sees a second player ban turn the group on its head. arklan202 (6/6,12) leads from EmptyWolf (4/6,4) and nikdim75 (3/4,4).
In the bottom half of the draw, michael_clayton (6/8) qualifies top of group 21. He is joined by peterjames712 (5/8), with Elias8942 finishing third with a record of 4/8 – a tremendous result for a 593 rated player!

Group 23 is definitely the one to watch. With a three-way tie between ce_1 (4/6,8), bab12345609 (4/6,8) & BlakeChess1091 (4/6,8) for first and Schelkovchanian (3/3,4) currently fourth, any two from these four can still qualify.
In group 24, sebasdinho96 (6/8) qualifies top, with wuze66 (5.5/8) qualifying in second, just ahead of Vincenzp (4/8) and zjbranson (3.5/7) fourth. The latter two players have one game outstanding to determine the third and fourth place standings.
Group 25 is another three-way shootout to watch. Ferz61 (5.5/7,11.25) has a slim lead over bgz07 (4/6,5) and Gillingham2020 (4/4,5). Shout out to my friend Gillingham2020, who just gave me a pair of good games in another tournament.

A tight group 22 sees mashy444 (3/3) leading from Artuno2005 (2/2), acerb95 (2/2) and Lynch-82 (2/3).

In group 30, MSTER264786 (5/5) leads the pack. A withdrawal leaves socratesircito (4/6) and MClarke95 (2/2) playing catch-up.
Group 31 has a three-way fight between AndrewM_67 (4/4,6), igor19630 (3.5/4,4.5) & americoata1981 (3.5/4,4.5) for the qualifying places.
Group 32 is done, barring bragging rights. Gotacek (6/7,17) and rigog (6/7,14) qualify. Their final game will determine the group winner.
Group 33 is lead by elgelas (6/6). admedmismail (3/5) currently lies second, with Anatbojko (2/3) in third and JaThLa1 (2/4) in fourth.
Group 34 is a four-way fight, with askandiwillblunder (3/3) [TOP NAME!} leading from Benico123 (3/4), AleDottore00 (2/3), and JoshuaKieninger (2/2).
kovalenko-s (6/6) qualifies from group 35. Sla28 (4/7,4) holds second from Lukey67 (3/6,4) and rah11978 (1/2).
Dolf156 (5/5,10) leads group 36 from smajkl (5/5,8). EthanFinn22 (4/7,4) is in third.
Another three-way battle in group 37 sees psych99 (6/6) leading from mpfdk (4/4) and MartinJulianInsua (4/6).
dstand (6/6) qualifies from group 38. jpatie11 (5/8,7) currently holds second with vadim18181818 (3/5,5) lying third and GuigaMoraes (2/5) in fourth.
Group 39 was riddled with time-outs. Cerezales and Shogun6666 both qualify and play each other for bragging rights to top the group.
Finally, in group 40, DmitryAdman (7/7) qualifies top of the group, with Speckinator (6/8) qualifying in second.

Week 1 Update
In group 1, Pythios (6/6,10) leads with Pavlei71 (4/4) and AchrisXDestroysU (3/5) battling for the second qualifying spot.
In group 2, Pobol (6/6) qualifies. andreasmolinasc (5/8) holds the second place with gonz14 (4/6) third. gonz14 has two games against Pobol remaining to decide the group.
In group 3, vitjanik (4/4) has an early lead from falikovitz (2/4) and sebastianhubati (2/2).
shhuuvus (6/6) leads group 4, with Pauligne (3/5) second and Valery-1953 (2/3) third.
Valik24 (5/6) leads group 5, with Reix111 (4/6) currently holding second.
In a wide open group 6, Santy690 (4/4) leads from rene_mac (2/2), telo21 (2/2) and Sir_CyCy (2/2).
Group 7 has unfortunately seen our first player ban. vikash0217 (5/6) leads a four-way battle from Piusantonius (4/6), weberlis (3.5/5) and sriram_0810 (2.5/5).
Group 8 sees silverock (3/3) leading, with oscargalfon (3/6) second. Four players are still in the running for round 2.
existanjoy (6/6) qualifies from group 9. DlugiParagon2007 (6/8) lies second with XandrezPatifaria (0/2) needing to win all his remaining games to deny him qualification.
teo74 (3/3) has the lead in group 10, with all five players still able to qualify.
Group 11 has MGEAV5 (7/8) qualify for round 2. madamcza (5/6) and HannibalMO (4/6) in a straight fight for the other spot.
catalin_bo (5/6) & CorvetteC3 (5/6) share the lead in group 12. Kannon1972 (4/4) has games against both in a tight finish.
In group 13, johnsond1 (6/7) qualifies. emad2018 (4/7,7) currently lies second from wolfwerner (4/6,6) in another tight finish.
Group 14 is all wrapped up with Cleave_A (6.5/8) and GoodApolloCC (5.5/7) qualifying.
In a very tight group 15, Amilkar99 (3/3,3) leads from Khyberoptic (3/4,2), Strawy_007 (2/2) and ousplinter (2/3).
Group 16 is also close, with Sternflotte (4/5,5) currently leading from CarlosAmaya (3/4,4), samuelplayer (2/2) and markuk (2/3).
It's all still to play for in group 17. Itjacques10 (2/2) currently leads ramiro72 (1/1) with all other games still in progress.
L0razepan (5/8,5) currently leads group 18. garluc (2/2,10) lies second, with Roby62bq (2/4) third and Beth2006 (1/2,5) fourth.
Group 19 has tigercek1 (5/6,9) and freekolum4 (5/6,9) sharing the lead. SamDorianPaladin (2/2) lies third but can still clinch a qualifying spot with six games still in progress.
Finally, in group 20, syo_dux (4/4,8) leads from arklan202 (4/6,4). nikdim75 (2/2) and EmptyWolf (2/2) are tied for third.
