As usual, I want to promote the idea of 1. f4 as a valid opening choice. Many people are turned off by the opening, but then when they play against it, they see it isn't as terrible as they first thought. If anyone thinks it is easily defeated, go ahead and play 1...e5, and we will see if White loses in 10 moves like people act!
